Thanks to its design, capacitive keypads are designed to work by simply pressing your finger on the surface of the keypad itself. This prevents the actual system operating mechanically thus reducing system wear and tear and significantly extending system life. This feature makes our capacitive keypads a perfect solution for industrial environments, where wear and tear and usage time demands are very high. That's why we at Layme manufacture keypads with the materials that best suit the demands of each industry.
We therefore work with a variety of materials and thicknesses for the keypad front panel. Apart from the materials we also use in the manufacture of membrane keypads, we mainly use polycarbonate or polyester glass and methacrylate for the manufacture of capacitive keypads. Two materials that, in addition to their resistance, allow straightforward backlighting.
